BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The case of missing Indiana University student Lauren Spierer was featured on an "America's Most Wanted" television segment Saturday, leading to dozens of tips, police said Sunday.
The student's June 3 disappearance was detailed in a 2-minute segment on the Fox show, reports USA Today. Police say the show generated 30 to 40 tips between the show's 9 p.m. airing and 3 a.m., but none have led to a break in the investigation.
Spierer was last seen about 4:30 a.m. on June 3, as she left a friend's apartment after a night out with friends, and started walking home to her downtown Bloomington apartment.
Police, who do not have any suspects, are interviewing those who know Lauren and say they have 10 persons of interest.
At Sunday's news conference, Lauren's mother Charlene Spierer had a message for whoever has or has harmed Lauren.
"Shame on you," she said. "Shame on you."
She also spoke to her missing daughter saying, "I am here for you 100 percent. I will never leave you." She added, "I love you with all my heart, and I need you back."
