On the 18th day of her daughter's murder trial, Cindy Anthony broke down in tears when she was shown a photo of her granddaughter wearing a pink shirt that said "Big trouble comes in small packages."
That is the same pink shirt, prosecutors allege, that was later found next to the little girl's skeletal remains.
The 52-year-old Florida woman is one of the last to testify before prosecutors rest their case and the defense begins calling witnesses.
The elder Anthony claimed she had never seen Caylee in the shirt and that the first time she saw it was during a 2009 deposition.
Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee. If convicted, she could face the death penalty.
Other items of interest found with Caylee's remains include a canvas laundry bag and a Winnie-the-Pooh blanket. While on the stand, Cindy Anthony testified that a laundry bag had been missing from her home. She also said she noticed that Caylee's Winnie-the-Pooh blanket had disappeared in May 2008.
Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick then steered her line of questioning to Cindy Anthony's hair -- specifically the length, color and style.
Catherine Theisen, a quality assurance specialist at the FBI lab in Quantico, Va., had testified earlier Tuesday that a decomposing hair had been found inside the trunk of Casey Anthony's car. Mitochondrial DNA showed that the hair could belong to Cindy, Casey or Caylee Anthony, Theisen said.
"I've had this hairstyle since 2002," said Cindy Anthony, whose blonde hair does not appear to match the hair found in the trunk.
Anthony also testified that her daughter had short, dyed hair in 2008, which would also not be a match to the strand of hair investigators found.
During cross-examination, Casey Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, pointed out inconsistencies between the testimony Cindy Anthony gave today and things she said during a deposition that was taken two years ago.
"I don't remember everything I said," Anthony replied. "It was a two-day deposition."
At one point today, when Cindy Anthony left the witness stand, she mouthed "I love you" to her daughter, CNN reported.
The only other witness of note Tuesday was Alina Burroughs. A crime scene investigator from the Orange County Sheriff's Office, Burroughs testified that several books of heart-shaped stickers were found in Casey and Caylee Anthony's bedrooms.
During earlier testimony, another expert had testified that a heart-shaped outline had been found on a piece of duct tape that was on Caylee's skull.
The prosecution contends Anthony suffocated her daughter and kept her body in the trunk of her car for several days before dumping it in a wooded area near her family home. At the beginning of the trial, Baez told the jury Caylee died on June 16, 2008, when she drowned in her family's swimming pool.
When court wrapped up today, prosecutors said they did not plan on calling any more witnesses and that they would probably rest their case tomorrow, after submitting a few additional pieces of evidence.
